Title: VP or Senior Director, Corporate Strategy and M&A
Report to: Chief Strategy Officer (CSO)
Location: US(San Diego, or San Jose, or Irvine, or Austin) or China(Shenzhen, or Shanghai, or ChengDu)
As a corporate strategist and M&A leader, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the company, with a strong focus on supporting profitable and sustainable long-term growth through organic and in-organic investments. You will have an exciting opportunity to conduct M&A target scans, conduct financial and strategic analysis to measure business performance, and develop hypotheses for value creation. A successful candidate must be comfortable thinking at the 50,000 ft. level as well as delving into the details, conduct operational diligence, and possess good communication skills and ability to articulate insights to Senior Executives, President and CEO.
Responsibility:
Analyze existing business, emerging industry trends and competitive threats
Collaborate across organization to achieve strategic objectives
Evaluate organic and in-organic growth strategies and provide analysis
Recommend expansion opportunities including mergers and acquisitions, viability of outside business partners, venture capital sources and internal business performance improvement
Conduct research on prospective acquisition targets and prepare customized presentations for the management team. Assist in the financial due diligence process, develop and maintain appropriate models, and project manage the integration process for active transactions
Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business
Perform deep-dive analysis in support of management decision making
Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses
Present business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management
Manage projects related to Strategic Planning (SP), emerging trends and technologies, domestic and international markets, R&D, strategic and operational metrics, M&A valuations, acquisitions and divestitures
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field; MBA is a plus
10 years or more of industry experience in either strategic planning, technology planning, or in a role with proven track record of driving technology strategy
Deep knowledge of integrated solution for applications based on IC design and software development for sensors, smart devices, automotive electronics, etc.
Must have good technical fundamental knowledge and can grasp new technical concepts quickly
Proven business development, or entrepreneur experience and strong business acumen
A fast learner with the ability to take initial direction and self-manage to complete assignments on time and to expectations
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Exceptional leadership and management skills
Effective communication and presentation skills to convey analysis and recommendations to stakeholders and company executives
