Overview

Hours: M-F 8-5p

The Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT) and Cellular Therapy Data Coordinator is responsible for the collection, oversight, and monitoring of all Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (TCT) Program datasets including program indicators and outcomes for the clinical program, apheresis program, and cellular therapy processing. This position functions as a critical part of the cross-market Novant Health TCT Quality Team to provide information for monitoring the quality of care given to our patients across the care continuum. The HCT and Cellular Therapy Data Manager will help identify opportunities for improvement in the delivery of care based on analytical findings.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Science, Data Management, Healthcare Statistics, or Nursing, required. Graduate Degree in Science, Data Management, Healthcare Statistics, or Nursing, preferred.
  • Experience: 2 Years Clinical research or hospital setting. Knowledge of hematology, federal designated hemophilia treatment center processes and standards, required.
  • Licensure/certification/registration: Current Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) certification, required. Current NC RN, if BSN, or Data Management Certification if other than BSN, preferred.
  • Additional skills preferred:
    • Ability to complete generic or department specific competencies.
    • Ability to work with management teams and physicians; demonstrate people and communication skills.
    • Able to work independently without close supervision.
    • Demonstrate high energy and flexibility to accommodate program interests throughout the region.
    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with attention to fine detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong analytical ability.
    • Desire to be vested in the culture and nuisances of the Classical Hematology Program.
    • Desire to learn and master fundamentals of hematology and be a lifelong learner of ongoing advancements and improvement in classical hematology practice.
    • Must maintain a cooperative and positive attitude.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and auditing.
    • Strong critical thinking skills.
