Position Overview: Columbia Orthopaedic Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role will primarily focus on accounting functions while also incorporating data analysis to support key financial decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accounting duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end
- close processes.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and insights that
- inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports for management, highlighting key
- performance indicators and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial
- models.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements specific to
- the healthcare industry.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and financial software to enhance data analysis and
- reporting efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the healthcare or medical
- sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under various legal umbrellas.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets, perform
- data analysis, and develop financial models.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey financial information
- clearly to stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
