General Summary:
Manages daily activities and schedule of Donation Resource Coordinator staff. Ensures that staff is trained, and performance is managed to meet established goals. Ensures best practices are being followed. Manages staff to assure that Network contact with hospital partners, donor families, and community stake holders meets established Network standards. Collaborates with the managers and leadership to develop policies and procedures to enhance and ensure the promotion and quality of organ and tissue donation. Ensures quality assurance, regulatory and organizational compliance requirements are met. This position requires periodic management on-call status and is required to work extended periods, including 24-hours, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays. Oversees quality control of tissue requests and organ sharing documentation. Works with other managers to improve the performance of department. Responsible for individual and departmental staff compliance with all Network programs and policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises staff, oversees orientation, training activities and competencies. Collaborates with leadership regarding any special, new, remedial and recurrent training needs.
- Prepares schedules and ensures coverage for Donation Resource Center Staff.
- Rounds regularly with staff, to ensure a well and high functioning team. Communicates feedback with leadership team.
- Assures the Donation Resource Center staff meets the Network and regulatory quality of tissue donor requests and the quality of organ allocation from the Donation Resource Center staff is satisfactory. Monitors Donation Resource Center staff to assure that the transportation of organs, tissues and personnel, and other logistics are appropriately handled.
- Informs staff of any required policy and procedural changes.
- Completes job performance evaluations per Network standard guidelines with leadership's guidance and oversight.
- Collaborates with leadership on hiring and terminations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborates with other clinical leadership teams on SOP's, processes and education to assure regulatory compliance and exceptional performance.
- Assures tissue screening and authorization/notification for tissue donation meets established standards.
- Assures organ allocation process meets established standards.
- Maintains adequate daily staffing levels and schedules.
- Attends meetings, trainings, events and programs as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in health care related field/business administration or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
- Three to five years of Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) experience required. Must possess thorough knowledge of hospital protocols.
- Experience with or thorough knowledge of donor process.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
