SUMMARY: Hussey Copper has an opening for a Process Engineer at our Leetsdale, PA location. This position is responsible for developing and implementing process improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve quality and increase efficiency. This includes leading the development of Lean Manufacturing processes and tools, analyzing current processes to identify areas of improvement, developing and executing process improvement plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to the following.
- Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing processes and tools.
- Interface with metallurgical lab for process improvements and problem solving
- Analyze current processes to identify areas of improvement.
- Develop and execute process improvement plans.
- Monitor process performance metrics to ensure continuous process improvement.
- Work with other departments to ensure successful implementation of new processes.
- Create detailed documentation for all new or modified processes.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards.
- Deep experience with Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen Facilitation (5S, Std Work, SMED, TPM)
- Deep experience with Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI, aka Lean Mfg Visual Daily Management, Tier 1-4 Boards);
- Deep experience with Project Management Office (PMO, aka more complicated Productivity/OEE Improvement projects)
- Automotive Industry (or similar) Quality Systems experience a plus; APQP, PFMEA, Corrective & Preventive Actions, Control Plans, etc.

- 4 year degree, engineering preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing/Casting environment.
- Experience in leading various types of projects major equipment outages and installation of new equipment and processes directing internal and or external resources.
- Able to facilitate and complete root cause analysis (8-D, 5 why) and implement countermeasures to prevent re-occurrence.
- Strong computer skills, AutoCAD, proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access. Must be detail oriented with strong communication and analytical skills.
- 3-7+ years in Industrial Environment, Engineering & Maintenance Focus
- Preferred Experience or comparable: Metal/Materials Processing, Tool & Die required (Must have) for one of the roles
- BS Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from ABET/EAC accredited University
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, techniques, and tools (e.g. Kaizen, 5S, etc.)
