SUMMARY

The Regional Treasury Solutions Officer is responsible for the development and retention of Treasury Management revenue within the assigned markets by planning and implementing consultative calling programs designed to achieve new business and revenue growth targets. In this position, the Treasury Management Sales Officer will work with Commercial Relationship Managers and other business partners to identify prospects and clients requiring Treasury Management Services, develop calling programs, prepare proposals, finalize sales, and oversee the implementation of services. Additionally, the Regional Treasury Solutions Officer will formulate client retention strategies for the portfolio revenue base, will call actively on existing clients to ascertain service satisfaction, and act in a consultative capacity to cross-sell additional services.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Undergraduate degree and/or minimum of 5 - 10 years' experience selling financial services in public contract area of banking
  • 3+ years' experience in a treasury management sales environment
  • Proficient in personal computer operations and software applications
  • Working knowledge of banking including business banking deposit and sweep accounts, account analysis, and loans
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and image to represent the bank in a highly professional manner in dealing with corporate customers
  • Ability to sell non-traditional bank products in traditional banking environment
  • Possess effective writing skills for creation of proposals and other correspondence
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of customers and bank employees effectively
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines routinely
  • Ability to prepare and perform sales presentations and close the sale
  • Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.


JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Determine prospects with commercial partners to develop market potential for sales of treasury management products and other bank services within assigned markets
  • Perform business development calls on corporate customers including counties and municipalities in assigned markets
  • Maximize non-interest income through sales activities, product penetration and collection of fees
  • Sell the bank's suite of treasury management services
  • Analyze customer relationships and determine all banking products to fill customer needs (not necessarily only treasury management products)
  • Analyze and recommend target balance and class of funds for cash management customers
  • Establish account set up and implement process through installation of entire product line sold to customer
  • Manage controllable expenses for the treasury management function to ensure maximum contribution to the profitability of the bank
  • Serve as product expert for Treasury Management customers and internal commercial partners to provide technical related support, maintain relationships and provide exceptional customer service
  • Cross sell other banking services including personal accounts to employees of corporate businesses
  • Participate in community organizations and bank activities to cultivate business relationships and promote the image, services and products of the bank


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position does not manage employees.

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

TRAVEL

This position requires up to 25% travel.
