Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Vascular/Transplant Surgery Job Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: 1st Shift - 3x12 hour shifts Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment. License: Requires current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact. Certifications: - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required. Must-Have: - Nursing diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)- Effective communication skills in English (Read, Write, Speak) Job Description: - Nursing Process: Assessment: Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and/or situation.- Diagnosis: Analyze assessment data to determine the diagnoses or issues.- Outcomes Identification: Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.- Planning: Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.- Implementation: Implement the identified plan.- Evaluation: Evaluate progress toward the attainment of outcomes.- Quality of Practice: Use creativity and innovation in nursing practice to improve care delivery.- Environmental Health & Safety: Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.- Collaboration: Collaborate with patients, families, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.- Ethics: Use the Guide to the Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide practice. Recognize the centrality of the patient and family as core members of any healthcare team.- Resource Utilization: Utilize appropriate resources to plan and provide nursing services that are safe, effective, and financially responsible.- Schedule Notes: Work schedule to be finalized; includes 0900-2130 hours with on-call responsibilities.
