Join us as a full-time Medical Science Liaison in Quebec & the Atlantic Provinces!

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a trained healthcare professional whose primary role is to act as a conduit of scientific information between the Company and the medical community.

The MSL must remain current on clinical and scientific knowledge, and must be able to communicate complex medical and scientific concepts to a broad range of audiences.

The MSL is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with researchers and other thought leaders and providing scientific support for Company products under the biopharmaceutical portfolio. The MSL must maintain scientific expertise and knowledge of clinical applications of company products, medical treatment guidelines, and research methods.

In addition, the MSL is responsible for conducting in-depth 1:1 medical scientific interactions with thought leaders (KOLs); implementation scientific exchange meetings & journal club discussions to gain insights on therapeutic area and related treatments. Also expected to collaborate with other departments as needed. In this capacity the MSL is expected to manage his/her territory for scientific activities & KOL engagements.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ph.D., M.D., PharmD., M.Sc. with 5+ years of MSL experience
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in the therapeutic area of interest preferred
  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
  • Must be bilingual, fluent in English & French (written and verbal)


SKILLS
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong presentation skills
  • Ability to establish rapport and relationships with thought leaders/KOLs
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and handle fluctuating workloads
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design and process
  • Demonstrated proficiency in: project management, planning, execution, time management and follow-through skills
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability to adhere to standards & procedures and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills such as Windows navigation, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and Internet search
  • Position will require 60-70% travel, including overnight stays. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
