Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist Job Specialty: Pediatrics Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 16:00 or 08:00 - 17:00), Monday through Friday, no weekends Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per week; up to 3 shifts may be canceled during the assignment Experience: 2 years pediatric outpatient experience required License: Must have a valid SLP license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: Completion of accredited SLP credential program, including a master's degree Job Description: - Provide direct patient care and organize medically prescribed speech therapy programs.- Restore speech and language function in pediatric patients.- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.- Implement therapies focusing on swallowing, speech, cognitive, and voice disorders.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.- Maintain accurate and timely patient records using Cerner charting systems.- Participate in orientation and required non-billable modules, averaging 3-6 hours, completed during orientation.- Adhere to business casual dress code or wear scrubs with a white lab coat.- Comply with required COVID-19 and flu vaccination protocols.- Be part of an acute care hospital recognized as a Magnet, Teaching, Level II Trauma Center with 412 staffed beds.This position does not require on-call duties and does not involve floating to sister facilities. While the site is open to local candidates, pending state licenses are not accepted. Return staff should have been gone for at least one year.
