Construction Project Manager
CONSTRUCTION/PROP MGMT (Billings Clinic Main Campus)

Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours (Exempt)
Starting Wage DOE: $41.83 - $49.14
This position is responsible for leading efforts around all activities related to new and renovation construction projects within Billings Clinic. This includes serving as the Owner's Representative with Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Vendors, Consultants, and Regulatory Authorities. Success in that role is contingent on effectively managing and coordinating project development that aligns with BC Leadership, BC Clinical End-User Groups, BC Quality and Safety, BC Project Support Departments, among others. This position is responsible for leading through all phases of the construction process from conceptual planning, design, construction, to project completion and occupancy. This position is responsible for maintaining all project compliance relative to scope, schedule, budget, and regulatory needs. This position is responsible for leading multiple projects at the same time.
Essential Job Functions
Participates in identification, evaluation, andrecommendation regarding appropriate sites for new and renovation constructionprojects. Evaluates construction methods to determine cost-effectiveness ofplans
Leads the development and implementation ofconstruction project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Participates in and provides feedback and input intothe selection of engineers, architects, consultants, contractors, equipmentsuppliers, and vendors for construction projects. Directs and supervises workassociated with these functions.
Coordinates project development closely with allrequisite parties to ensure appropriate communication of individualresponsibilities, accountabilities, and plan updates/changes.
Prepares submits reports on schedules, progress,updates, and status to departmental leadership.
Ensures all contractors have secured all necessarygovernmental and regulatory permits and approvals required prior to workbeginning.
Reviews and monitors consultant and contractor preparedreports, plans, and specifications to ensure they are meeting agreed uponstandards and organizational needs.
Monitors construction schedules, quality controlprograms, and status reporting programs. Coordinates weekly constructionmeetings and involves all appropriate parties. Takes appropriate action to dealwith the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at the constructionsite.
Inspects work in progress to ensure that work conformsand adheres to the contract documents, construction schedules, and regulatoryrequirements including Pre-Construction Risk Assessments, Infection ControlRisk Assessments, and Interim Life Safety Measures.
Orders and monitors procurement of equipment and materialsto be delivered at specific times to conform to work schedules. Inspectsmaterials and equipment, documents and logs testing dates and reports.
Responsible for tracking project costs and ensuringbudget conformance.
Coordinates needs of the department(s) with Facilityand Project Teams.
Resolves construction-related problems/disputes andcoordinates with the Project Team for approval of actionable items.Investigates damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure thatproper procedures are being carried out.
Reviews and pre-authorizes payment applications, workdirectives, change orders, and related contract documents.
Coordinates project closeout, including completion ofall punch list items, and facility occupancy. Coordinates with internal andexternal staff to ensure equipment, furniture, computers, telephones, areinstalled in a timely and efficient manner for occupancy.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
4 Year bachelor's degree in architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience
3 years with construction, project management or related experience.
