General Summary
Manages and participates in achievement of annual System strategic objectives. Primarily responsibility for development, roll out, and effective operation of the System productivity management program (currently using Vizient tools). Managing a team of technical and operational experts, integrates data from WellSpan Health (WSH) into the Vizient productivity and benchmarking tools to set goals, track adherence and partner with operations leadership to develop plans to manage staffing resources to plan. Working in partnership with the Sr. Directors of Operations for Acute, Medical Group and Corporate Shared Services, develops education, training and understanding of the Vizient tools to ensure engagement of and utilization by operational leaders in a way that facilitates excellence at managing staff to productivity standards. This position is also responsible for System Workforce Management, Agency management and control of premium pay. Works with leaders from all levels of the organization and needs to be capable of tailoring their message to the appropriate audience. Works with the VP-Financial Planning and Professional Services to develop productivity targets for the budget so that the organization is looking forward and planning for improvements in advance as we continue to improve our operations and control costs to maintain our financial stability and growth.

Essential Functions:
- Partners with Operations leaders at all levels of the organization to set productivity goals and achievement plans based upon benchmark information.
- Develops tracking and reporting feedback for Operations and Finance teams to use to effectively execute improvement plans and achieve goals.
- Collaborates with other Operations Finance leaders (Acute, WMG and Corp SS) to develop education, training, roll out, support and standard meeting cadence to assure successful integration, use and outcomes from the Productivity system.
- Partners with the VP-Financial Planning and Professional Services to incorporate the productivity goals and targets into the budget system so that the system can plan for the correct number of FTEs and costs for future periods and use that information as a baseline for comparing performance in the coming year
- Partnering with Senior Leaders, owns and manages System Workforce Management process. Internal and Agency positions are evaluated for need and approved as appropriate. Also works to assure that staffing is most appropriate to minimize the use of premium pay (OT, shift, incentive, etc.).
- Works collaboratively with Payroll and Epic teams to gather data on a bi-weekly basis to integrate into Vizient to create the reporting and feedback on actual performance to support operations successful management of productivity.
- Responsible for the calculation, socialization and engagement of annual productivity benchmarks for all employees. Directs technical team to provide required information to Vizient to update benchmarks that get used for budgeting and planning for future improvements in FTE and cost management.
- Participates on various Facility, Regional and WMG leader teams as assigned by the VP-Transformation and Operations Finance.
- Participates in various financial analysis projects as assigned.
Common Expectations:
- Recommends staffing levels, selects and assigns staff, evaluates performance, evaluates/tests competencies (as applicable), provides orientation, training and continuing education of staff, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions.
- Participates in the development of the department budget and monitors variance against budget items applicable to reimbursement management.
- Continuously assesses and improves the work processes under their area of responsibility.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.

- Bachelors Degree Required
- Masters Degree Preferred
Work Experience:
- 8 years progressive related experience required
