Job Location: 160 Federal Street, 16th floor, Boston, MA 02110
Job Duties:
As an Audit Manager, the team member will manage and deliver audit engagements from planning through completion. Specific duties include:
Lead audit engagements in the commercial POD; Supervise audit teams with daily operations; Follow quality management protocols and ensure the audits are done in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards; Assist clients with new accounting standard adoptions; Monitor the productivity of staff and adhere to work plan schedules on each assignment; Keep lines of communication open with staff and clients; Anticipate and address client concerns regarding financial statements, reports, etc., and escalate problems as they arise; Recognize and inform management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients; and Prepare all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable condition letters, with an eye on quality, thoroughness, and accuracy.
Telecommuting is permitted from all U.S. states except California.
Requirements:
Employer requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field and at least five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience as a public accountant. In addition, the employer requires the following:
Demonstrated ability reviewing audits within a commercial industry gained through three (3) years of work experience; Demonstrated ability managing multiple client engagements with a financial accounting background gained through three (3) years of work experience; Demonstrated ability advising clients on Generally Accepted Auditing Standards gained through three (3) years of work experience; Demonstrated ability managing the client relationship as a primary contact on the engagement gained through five (5) years of work experience; Demonstrated specific subject matter expertise answering technical questions in commercial accounting through engagements within this industry gained through three (3) years of experience; and Demonstrated ability training and developing staff to assume more responsibility in the accounting field gained through five (5) years of work experience.
All years of experience may be gained concurrently. Licensure is not required.
