Required Qualifications
Jeanne Clery Act
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act is a federal statute requiring colleges and universities participating in federal financial aid programs to maintain and disclose campus crime statistics and security information. By October 1 of each year, institutions must publish and distribute their Annual Campus Security Policy & Crime Statistics Report (ASR) to current and prospective students and employees. - Provide patient care and diagnosis in all areas of Pediatrics to newborns, children, and adolescents.
- Examine patients to determine the presence of disease and establishes preventive health practices.
- Determine nature and extent of disease or injury.
- Prescribe and administer medications and immunizations.
- Precept medical students and residents in the clinic and newborn nursery.
- Supervise physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners in the clinical and inpatient setting.
- Engage in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.
- Serve the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
- Contribute to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations.
- Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.
- Uphold and promote the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board Certified in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics for the rank of assistant professor or higher
- Bilingual (English and Spanish preferred)
- Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree, or foreign medical equivalent degree
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited pediatrics residency program
- Texas Medical licensure, or eligible for Texas medical license
