QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in community relations, public information, or a related field.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and experience in developing and implementing community engagement strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, experience in public speaking and media relations, and a commitment to the organization's mission and values.

    JOB SUMMARY: To lead and oversee all aspects of community engagement, public relations, and advocacy efforts. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to build and maintain positive relationships with the community, media, and other stakeholders. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, Superintendent, and staff to ensure the district's mission and programs are effectively communicated and supported.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with the Board of Trustees to set and achieve school district's objectives.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive community relations strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the community relations team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Organize and oversee community events, programs, and initiatives.
  • Develop and manage outreach programs that engage, support, and partner with the community to address local issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, organizations, and members.

  • Prepare and present regular reports to the Board of Trustees on community relations activities and outcomes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of community relations programs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with district policies and procedures.
