Description

Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to support Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP) and Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC) as a Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Training Systems Specialist. This position is vital for ensuring that the Pacific Fleet's ships are trained and certified to operate effectively in various scenarios, particularly in Ballistic Missile Defense operations.

The BMD Training Systems Specialist should have solid experience in training and operational procedures related to Aegis systems, with the ability to adapt training standards to meet evolving demands. This position requires a proactive approach to monitoring training effectiveness and ensuring that all personnel are prepared for immediate deployment, with a focus on utilizing best practices and technical expertise.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Training and Certification:
  • Ensure the effective training and certification of all ships in the Pacific Fleet, focusing specifically on Aegis BMD operations.
• Training Standards Development:
  • Contribute to the development and analysis of training standards, adapting to the evolving requirements of the Navy.
• Monitoring and Analysis:
  • Monitor, analyze, and track ships in training to ensure compliance with training standards and readiness for deployment.
• Departmental Support:
  • Provide executive support to departments, including scheduling, conflict management, and quality assurance.
• Program Management:
  • Assist in program management and mission area certification to enhance the effectiveness of training operations.
• Quality Control and Data Analysis:
  • Perform quality control of training programs, conduct data analysis, and support systems administration efforts.
• Training Execution:
  • Actively participate in and conduct actual training sessions to ensure personnel are well-prepared for operational demands.

Requirements

Experience:

• Surface Navy Experience:
  • 2 years of surface navy experience as an Aegis Training Supervisor on an Aegis BMD platform or an equivalent platform.
• System Configuration and Operation:
  • 2 years of experience with the configuration and operation of:
    • AN/USQ-46 Battle Force Team Trainer (BFTT)
    • AEGIS Combat Training System (ACTS)

Knowledge of:

• BMD Tactics and Technical Systems:
  • In-depth knowledge of Surface BMD Tactics, technical systems, and instructions, including requirements from the COMNAVSURFORINST 8820.2 series and associated tactical memorandums.
• AEGIS Combat Systems:
  • Strong understanding of the AEGIS Combat Systems, including its components and operational instructions.
• Command and Control:
  • Knowledge of BMD Command and Control issues, particularly in relation to surveillance, engagement, and planning functions required for each numbered fleet.

Security Clearance:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Salary Description

$80,000 - $135,000
