About You
As an IT Asset Manager, you will oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of IT assets within our organization. This includes hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals. The primary goal is to ensure IT assets are efficiently utilized, compliant with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements, and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives. You will play a crucial role in optimizing asset management processes, controlling costs, enhancing security, and supporting overall IT efficiency. This is an onsite position with successful candidate working in our TASB headquarters located in north Austin.

About You
As an IT Asset Manager, you will oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of IT assets within our organization. This includes hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals. The primary goal is to ensure IT assets are efficiently utilized, compliant with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements, and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives. You will play a crucial role in optimizing asset management processes, controlling costs, enhancing security, and supporting overall IT efficiency. A Typical Day
- Maintain a centralized and up-to-date inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals, tracking their status and location throughout their lifecycle.
- Function as the primary contact for end-user hardware and software purchases across the organization.
- Collaborate with various teams, including IT, finance, procurement, and legal, to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, regulatory requirements.
- Properly code and submit invoices and purchase orders to Finance. Verify the accuracy of invoices and ensure all appropriate documentation is provided in accordance with TASB policies.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Maintain and continuously improve IT asset management policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Monitor and manage software licenses to prevent over-licensing or non-compliance, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address licensing issues promptly.
- Collaborate with IT service management (ITSM) processes to align asset management activities with incident, problem, and change management.
- Perform regular audits and generate reports of IT assets to identify discrepancies, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to the organization's strategic planning by providing insights into IT asset needs and trends.
Skills for Success
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT asset management
- Preferred (but not mandatory) Certifications:
- Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)
- Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
- Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of IT asset management best practices, software licensing, and compliance requirements
- Experience with IT procurement processes, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate asset inventories and conduct audits effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in IT asset management tools and software for automated discovery and tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
