Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the mechanical team on-site, including subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems related to pump stations and tunneling equipment.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture among the team.
  • Review and approve mechanical designs, shop drawings, and submittals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, resolving mechanical issues as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including reports on progress, changes, and challenges.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on equipment operation and safety protocols.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Minimum (8) years of experience in with construction, particularly in pump station, shaft work or tunneling projects.
    • Over (5) years experience as a superintendent, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation processes, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
