Position Summary

KOB is looking for an experienced Fire Protection & Life Safety Pre-Engineered Suppression System Sales Representative who will be responsible for covering TBD territory. You are highly motivated and ambitious to develop, estimate, and deliver Pre-Engineered Systems designs and quotations to new and current customers. This position requires a combination of NFPA technical knowledge of Pre-Engineered Suppression Systems and attention to design detail to estimate complete solutions to the end-user. This position will report directly to the Sales Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify new sales opportunities and close hardware sales
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and the project manager
  • Create KOB approved proposals and deliver/present them to customers
  • Review and analyze weekly cost reports to evaluate that job costs are proper in relation to estimated costs to assure accuracy of estimate
  • Develop and execute strategic marketing efforts within assigned territory that includes but are not limited to seminars, local organizations, and networking events
  • Develop a strategy to maintain monthly sales goals to achieve annual sales quotas
  • Work closely with your Sale Manager to discuss strategic sales objectives and goals
  • Build relationships with small and large commercial business partners
  • Develop and maintain technical competency of the department products and services
  • Conduct surveys and meetings with clients

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Two plus years B2B sales experience required
  • Experience in the Fire Protection industry is a must
  • Capable of learning and retaining technical product knowledge in a timely manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient with computers, especially Microsoft Office programs, and CRMS
  • High School Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred
  • Travel Required
  • Must have a valid driver's license
