Job Description
NCF is looking for a Principal Enterprise Program Manager to play the overall lead program manager role for our enterprise-wide initiative at NCF to re-engineer and replace our core processes and systems that run this ministry end-to-end (referred to as "Project 180" or "P180"). This will include developing and managing the overall P180 program plan, including the critical data conversion and cutover, as well as working with our organizational change manager to ensure the releases go smoothly and successfully across our stakeholders of employees, affiliate offices, givers, advisors and charities. This role will include being the Product Owner of the Agile scrum team that is responsible for the high-level process and UX design for our new P180 systems and coordinating with our 6+ other Agile scrum teams to provide them with the high-level requirements to feed their respective backlogs. This role will provide direction and guidance to our Agile scrum teams, orchestrate the overall program plan across these scrum teams, and ensure alignment across all the teams and stakeholders.

This is a tremendously impactful role that will play a huge part in our engineering efforts to redesign and build out our E2E software and data platform that will run all NCF's ministries for the next 10+ years. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help craft the integrated process and technology roadmap that will enable NCF to grow and scale in accomplishing its mission of seeing lives changed by mobilizing resources across literally thousands of Christian ministries through inspiring biblical generosity. In this role you will effectively deliver business results by championing a culture of accountability and consistently applying Agile program management best practices. Excellent facilitation skills and being a motivator are a must along with working across teams and departments to ensure collaboration, communication, visibility, and results.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Accountable for developing and managing the overall program/project plan and schedule for our P180 replatforming initiative, including the critical data conversion, cutover and change management efforts.
  • Accountable, with direct assistance from our organizational change manager, for the overall readiness across our key stakeholders for the major releases of our P180 initiative.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to produce program roadmaps, project scope, objectives and success criteria, project plans and other project documentation required to plan, organize, and control project outcomes.
  • Lead our giving portal and back-office UX and process design team that will develop the high level end-to-end process and design requirements for our P180 initiative that will replace the processes and systems that power this ministry. These high-level requirements will then be used to feed the backlog for our 6+ other scrum teams.
  • Partner and collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to gather and determine user requirements.
  • Coordinate with our Principal Technical Program Manager that will be heading our "scrum of scrums" to help identify our quarterly unified goals and ensure they align to our overall program and project roadmap. Our "scrum of scrums" Principal Technical PM has accountability for establishing and ensuring our scrum teams are meeting our quarterly unified goals.
  • Facilitate alignment on priorities and progress by identifying dependencies between teams and coordinating cross team planning, problem-solving sessions, testing, and overseeing end-to-end solutions.
  • Serve as a coach, facilitator, and problem-solver, ensuring teams are aligned, roadblocks are removed, and continuous improvement is fostered throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support the program teams in the early identification and solving of issues and mitigating risks and dependencies with effective strategies and collaboration.
  • Drive results across cross-functional teams of stakeholders, such as senior leaders, operational, field and development teams, governance committees, and vendors.
  • Prepare and present executive level presentations and communications, including reporting on program and project milestones, status, risks, and decisions.
  • Understand the inter-dependencies of the business and technology platforms, features, delivery plans and the impact of changes.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position initially has no direct supervisory responsibilities. However, this role is anticipated over time to require supervising and mentoring a team of program managers.

Education
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field
  • Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree is ok


Experience
  • 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development - or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects in an Agile or similar environment
  • 5+ years of experience directly supervising and mentoring a team of program managers
  • In-depth understanding of Agile principles, practices, and ceremonies development methodology, with certification preferred
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, data management and/or financial services systems
  • Strong BI/SQL skills preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile frameworks and project management tools (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)

Work Location

This role is available for remote work, but the candidate must be willing to travel one week a month to work in our Alpharetta, Georgia headquarters. The candidate must also be available to work during standard business hours on Eastern time (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
