A Claims Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a team of Supervisors, Senior Claims Representatives, and/or Specialists responsible for the management, investigation, and resolution of claims, ensuring a high-quality work product, while continuously developing talent. The Claims Manager promotes a culture of accountability, compliance, professionalism, integrity, and customer service excellence. They must possess strong critical, conflict management, and time management skills. They must be able to dive deep into a topic while simultaneously able to see the big picture, adjusting their approach to issues based on topic and audience.

Responsibilities
  • Leads and develops a team of supervisors, senior claims representatives, and/or specialists ensuring compliance, quality, accuracy, and timely resolution of claims that may include high exposure/complex cases
  • Resolves customer complaints and escalations, assists with coverage questions which cannot be handled by team members
  • Promotes a culture of open feedback, continuous improvement, and a commitment to identifying process efficiencies to drive profitability
  • Develops collaborative working relationships to support the success of the claims and broader Tesla Insurance organization
  • Identifies and removes barriers and obstacles for others through their influence and collaboration, both internally and externally
  • Promotes and advocates business unit goals and objectives, and identifies and executes initiative in support of those goals


Requirements
  • Must have 10+ years of claims experience in personal lines insurance
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage and the State;s Tort Laws
  • Adjuster licensing required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
