ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the Cost, Schedule, and Customer interface of one or more flight programs. Limited management guidance is provided to our Program Manager Level 4 (internal level).

This individual must be experienced in managing programs of a technical nature, and leading the program management of at least two complex, multi-CLIN/Contract Type programs for a complex technical/Space application. This role provides training to lower-level PMs as well as influences the way programs are managed across the organization. Along with some mentorship and lead role responsibilities this PM may have management responsibilities over lower-level PMs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering (preferred) or related discipline or equivalent experience/education, with PMP Certification
  • 10+ years of experience in program management and/or equivalent work experience
  • Must possess strong financial management and planning skills
  • Must have proven MS Office skills, specifically in Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word:
    • Excel - Establishing and maintaining budgetary baselines, tracking actual expenditures, and forecasting future costs
    • PowerPoint - Creating presentations on project statuses, designing reviews and other meetings both internally and externally
    • Project - Establishing and maintaining a project schedule to show critical path, tracking of customer and internal milestones, and the identification of time phases of resource needs which can be used for reporting internally and externally
    • Word - Creating and updating documents for customer delivery, providing direction to subcontractors, and responding to internal requirements for documentation
  • Must possess exemplary oral and written communication skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, status reports, risk assessment, quality management, data validation, and interface with a highly technical engineering and leadership staff
  • Must have experience in Earned Value Management
  • A familiarity with manufacturing in an electronics environment, or experience in electrical or mechanical engineering is a plus
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
