Fluor's Mining and Metals Business line provides these engineering services to the mining industry globally with a focus on the engineering, procurement, and construction of processing and infrastructure facilities associated with the recovery of metals and minerals.

The purpose of this Lead/ Manager Process Engineer is to provide oversight for all Process Technology Engineering activities on large or key strategic projects in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
Oversee the management of the Process Technology work activities on mining projces;
Plan and execute process activities to complete Fluor's process and engineering scope of work according to contract requirements
Plan commissioning, startup, and activities as required by contract to meet target performance
Act as the senior Process Technology program manager for client interface
Support, participate in and/or lead Value Improvement Practices
Develop Process Technology Quality and Activity Plans for moderate to intermediate size projects
Propose/develop cost effective work processes (project specific) to ensure Fluor's success
Provide execution support in the implementation of the Project Execution Plan
Perform inspections and audits of activities to determine conformance to specified requirements
Execute Fluor's scope of work according to contract requirements
Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and eighteen (18) to twenty (20) plus years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications
Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job, including;
- Interpretation of metallurgical test work
- Ability to read and interpret Process Flow Diagrams. P&IDs and other engineering documentation
- Experience with process simulation software for the development of Heat and Material Balances
- Knowledge of process equipment commonly used in mineral processing or hydrometallurgical facilities.
Experience the design and construction of mineral processing facilities for the recovery of copper, nickel, gold, or other base and precious metals
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines;
Familiarity with the industry requirements for the development of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
Experience with large and/ or mega mining projects
