Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Security Specialist for a contract position (hybrid downtown Toronto 3 days a week) The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise in endpoint and mobile security, as well as strong communication and organizational skills to support both project and operational work within our client's endpoint team.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Endpoint Security:
• Proven experience managing and configuring Endpoint Threat Protection/Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools such as CrowdStrike Falcon, FireEye HX, Microsoft Defender, etc.
• Experience in protecting both servers and workstations, ideally with expertise in securing Windows and Linux environments.
• Mobile Security Expertise:
• Hands-on experience managing mobile threat detection solutions or deep knowledge in mobile security practices.
• Technical Skills in Endpoint Software Management:
• Strong ability to manage endpoint security software, including executing upgrades and deployments across an enterprise (e.g., upgrading security agents, applying policy changes).
• Experience in managing appliance or console upgrades for security tools running on servers.
• Technology Governance and Documentation:
• Solid understanding of change management processes, with a focus on ensuring security during software and system transitions.
• Experience in documenting processes, procedures, and regulatory compliance (audit experience preferred).
• Strong Communication Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document processes, collaborate with internal teams, and interact with external stakeholders effectively.
• Authentication and API Integration Experience:
• Knowledge of enabling and managing Single Sign-On (SSO) and Privilege Access Management (PAM) integrations.
• Familiarity with API integration for security reporting and automation.
• Product Ownership & Strategic Planning:
• Experience in product management, including creating roadmaps, driving strategic security initiatives, and making recommendations for future security enhancements.
• Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar, would be a strong asset.
