The Program Director, Behavioral Health, will report to the Executive Administrative Director of Psychiatry and work closely with the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, the Psychiatrist-in-Chief, and the Chief of Clinical Enterprise (Behavioral Health). This role involves leading and advancing key behavioral health initiatives across the organization. Guided by the Behavioral Health System Executive Steering Committee, the Program Director will be responsible for the development, organization, prioritization, implementation, monitoring, and oversight of behavioral health programs throughout the enterprise. This role also includes managing a project management team dedicated to supporting these initiatives.

This role involves leading and advancing key behavioral health initiatives across the organization. Guided by the Behavioral Health System Executive Steering Committee, the Program Director will be responsible for the development, organization, prioritization, implementation, monitoring, and oversight of behavioral health programs throughout the enterprise. This role also includes managing a project management team dedicated to supporting these initiatives.
The Program Director, Behavioral Health will:
- Collaborate with the Executive Steering Committee to establish and manage multidisciplinary task forces made up of senior hospital executives, clinical leaders, and administrative leaders, ensuring alignment and integration of behavioral health initiatives.
- Act as a strategic partner, maintaining regular communication with the Psychiatrist-in-Chief and the Chief of Clinical Enterprise (Behavioral Health) to provide updates on all initiatives to relevant teams.
- Oversee the execution, development, enhancement, and assessment of initiatives, reviewing metrics, generating reports, and evaluating program outcomes on a regular basis.
- Identify and manage the resources needed for the advancement and effectiveness of behavioral health priorities and initiatives supported by the Children's Behavioral Health System Executive Steering Committee.
- Lead the strategic planning and design of behavioral health initiatives across the organization.
- Manage the behavioral health project management team's operations, ensuring responsibilities are met. Collaborate with leadership to set priorities and engage staff in relevant activities.
- Conduct regular evaluations of all behavioral health initiatives, analyze data for improvement, and coordinate progress reports and presentations for hospital leadership and committees.
- Oversee the operations of the Behavioral Health System Executive Steering Committee and related teams, including meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, initiative tracking, and reporting on success metrics.
- Manage program operations and staff, overseeing daily activities such as staffing levels, assignments, and resource allocation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, and Public Health required.
- Master's Degree, certification in Process Improvement, Lean Six Sigma Training, and/or Project Management preferred.
- 8 years of relevant experience in Project Management in a healthcare environment required. 15 years of relevant experience in Project Management in a healthcare environment is preferred.
