H2O Innovation is a leading company in water and wastewater treatment, specializing in water technologies, services, specialty products, and contract operations. We have recently expanded our focus to include water treatment infrastructure development in North America. Our Richmond, VA office is looking to add support roles to enhance our existing team of development professionals.

We are seeking a dynamic Business Manager & Financial Analyst to join our Water Infrastructure Development group. The ideal candidate will have experience in renewable energy project finance, accounting, or business asset management. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams in project development, engineering, construction, and operations.

The Day-to-Day
  • Conduct project valuation modeling for development projects;
  • Assist project operations analysts in creating customer savings evaluations and models;
  • Help develop "deal packages" that include capital and operational cost summaries, as well as return and earnings forecasts;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in development, accounting, and finance to facilitate project financing;
  • Support project accounting controls, spend forecasting, and budget-to-actual reporting for capital projects;
  • Oversee general business responsibilities for operating assets, including:
    • securing business licenses and insurance;
    • Managing accounting controls, payables, and receivables;
    • Monitoring budget forecasts versus actuals;
    • Managing investment tax credit programs;
    • Assisting with annual tax preparation;
    • Supporting refinancing efforts as applicable.
  • Prepare project economic proformas, manage operating budgets, and develop earnings forecasts;
  • Oversee operations of water treatment and renewable energy assets;
  • Perform additional job-related duties to assist in future project development.

The Skills We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, or other relevant disciplines;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business, asset management or project finance roles;
  • Experience with renewable energy, water or infrastructure project is a plus;
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities;
  • Proficiency in relevant financial software and tools.
