Responsible for the oversight and administration of accounting-related software, including but not limited to Trintech and PeopleSoft platforms. Engage in the comprehensive evaluation and automation of accounting processes, ensuring alignment with established policies and procedures. Implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize resource utilization. Assess technological advancements in accounting software to identify opportunities for system improvements and proactively contribute to the organization's financial effectiveness.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute system administration duties timely and accurately for NCLH Account Reconciliation Software, a tool that manages the following submodules: account reconciliations management, month end closing tasks cockpit, automatic matching and corresponding journal entries.
- Deliver support to users, addressing functionality questions and resolving issues. Conduct training sessions to enhance platform utilization efficiency.
- Manage functional and operational relationship with our Account Reconciliation Software vendor. Escalate items as needed.
- Perform, develop and improve upon data health checks to ensure any errors are identified and addressed.
- Maintain and test the software program updates to ensure functionality. Identify process enhancements, implement them, and uphold strong internal controls.
- Contribute to integration strategies, testing, deployment, and post-deployment requirements.
- Liaise with Information Technology and other areas of the business on initiatives to automate accounting processes across all brands and business processes.
- Crosstrain and assist with NCLH ERP accounting administrative tasks.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Company policy and other accepted policies and procedures to assure consistency in accounting practices.
- Support management with special projects such as the implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and controls. Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures to provide direction and guidance in connection with those accounting transactions, procedures, and reports through the department.
- Perform additional job related duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Accounting
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum four years of relevant accounting experience.
- Combined experience in public accounting and the private sector a plus.
- Experience in cruise industry is a plus.
- Experience managing in a SOX compliant accounting environment.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
- Account Reconciliation software (i.e. Blackline, Trintech) knowledge preferred.
- Month end tasks cockpit knowledge preferred.
- Experience with Peoplesoft software or large company ERP systems a plus.
- Strong communication skills, (verbal and written).
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail is essential thinking and ability to work in ambiguity.
- Must be highly analytical, solutions oriented.
- Excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills to explain results and proposals across varying levels of experience within the organization.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- CPA or international equivalent certification a plus
