Job Description

The Principal Contract Administrator will assist contracting activities for the Protection Systems Programs at our Phoenix, AZ facility. As a Principal Contract Administrator you will;
  • Direct various contracting activities such as solicitation reviews, proposal development and submittal, negotiations and contract execution, including monitoring hardware and data deliveries.
  • Use strong analytical techniques, critical thinking, and the ability to act as a trusted business advisor to a cross functional team including Program Management, Finance, Engineering, Pricing and others.
  • This position is a hybrid position requiring at least 3 days a week in the office.
  • The schedule is 9/80 with every other Friday off.


Required Skills and Education

  • BS degree with 6+ years relevant experience required
  • Major defense article acquisition and production contracting experience
  • Highly developed critical thinking and communication techniques with experience to influence and shape favorable business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, team-building and leadership skills, with the aptitude to perform in a complex cross-functional business environment.
  • Excellent writing skills is a must, with the knowledge of how to write clear and concise reports, business correspondence, and policies/procedures.
  • Knowledge of how to effect and manage change (both organizational and contractual).
  • Cost type and Fixed Price Contract experience
  • Functional knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations
  • Experience with intricate contracts and proposal preparation and execution
  • Aptitude to interact professionally and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of how to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, solicitations/RFPs, or governmental regulations.
  • Strong business acumen and experienced in risk management.
