Cyber Security Analyst - Mid

ECS is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst - Mid to work in our Quantico, VAoffice.

ECS is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join a team of experts charged with providing support in the areas of engineering, risk management and cybersecurity support in response to the Marine's needs for enhanced operational readiness and war fighting capabilities. You will support the Business and Support Services Division, Information Technology Branch for Cybersecurity Technology and Cyber-based Engineering Services. This position is located onsite at the customers location in Quantico, VA with potential for remote support.

In this role, you'll perform Cybersecurity Analyst functions, including conducting risk assessments to quantify impacts of vulnerabilities.

Specific tasks you will perform as a Cybersecurity Analyst include, but are not limited to:

• Provide cyber security analysis for risks associated with technologies and discovered threats, enabling MCCS to assess the resources needed to respond effectively.
• Evaluate system threats and vulnerabilities, identify deviations from acceptable configurations, identify deviations from enterprise or local policy, assess the level of risk, and recommend appropriate mitigation countermeasures in all situations.
• Perform technical tests, network scans, vulnerability scans to evaluate the effectiveness of systems, devices, procedures, and methods used to safeguard information in computer accessible media.
• Perform evaluations to determine MCCS established continuous monitoring metric items and develop measurements to document and report system adherence to the established metric thresholds.
• Analyze and report organizational security posture
• Perform tasks as indicated in the appointment orders for the specified position role.
