As a key member of the CFS Brands IT Operations department, you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining IT service that exceeds the expectations of our organization and its users. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving efficiency, innovation, and excellence across our enterprise-level systems. In this dynamic position, you'll collaborate closely with IT management to optimize and evolve our operating systems, applications, and hardware infrastructure. Your problem-solving skills will be put to the test as you serve as the go-to escalation point for our End User Services team, tackling complex issues that require your advanced technical acumen. KEY RESULT AREAS:
1. Cloud Services Management:
Lead the implementation and management of Microsoft Cloud Services, including Entra ID, Intune Setup and Deployment, and Azure Infrastructure.
Develop and execute strategies for cloud migration and optimization.
2. System Deployment and Maintenance:
Spearhead deployment activities for a wide range of IT systems, including servers, WAN/LAN connections, desktops (Windows and Mac), mobile devices, and telephony.
Perform daily system monitoring, ensuring the integrity and availability of all hardware, applications, and key processes.
Conduct prompt and thorough root cause analysis for system outages and drive resolutions.
Demonstrate proficiency in SSL/Certificates and maintain PKI.
3. Database Management:
Demonstrate proficiency in MS SQL Server, including complex backup and restore operations.
Demonstrate proficiency in Postgres databases, including complex backup and restore operations.
4. Security and Compliance:
Design and implement robust measures to protect and secure data, software, and hardware.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, CFSP procedures, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
5. Advanced Support and User Management:
Act as the last support level for hardware, software, device, and network connectivity issues.
Manage user and system accounts, including creation, modification, and access permissions.
6. Documentation and Knowledge Management:
Develop and maintain comprehensive IT documentation, including departmental procedures and knowledge base articles.
7. Infrastructure and Asset Management:
Maintain expertise in both Azure and AWS infrastructures.
Manage and track IT assets, including workstations, networking devices, and software licenses.
Create PowerShell scripts to automate and streamline system administration tasks.
8. Project Planning and Implementation:
Contribute to project planning by providing cost estimates, business cases, and ROI projections for technology investments.
Lead user training activities and implement innovative approaches to system administration.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Advanced certifications such as MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), or AWS Certified Solutions Architect required.
Additional certifications in Azure (AZ-303/304 or AZ-400), VMware (VCP-DCV), and security (CISSP) highly desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
The type of experience required to effectively perform the essential functions and responsibilities of this position are:
1. Microsoft Technologies Expertise:
Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft server technologies, including Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, including complex forest and domain designs, trust relationships, and fine-grained password policies.
Expert-level understanding of Group Policy, including WMI filters, item-level targeting, and PowerShell-based management.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, including advanced features of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
2. Cloud and Virtualization:
Demonstrated expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including Azure AD Connect, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Backup.
Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and migration strategies from on-premises to cloud environments.
Advanced knowledge of VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x, including vCenter, vSAN, and NSX.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
3. Networking and Security:
In-depth understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP) and implementation in enterprise environments.
Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and implementation.
Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise-grade firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPNs.
Thorough understanding of PKI infrastructure and certificate management.
4. Scripting and Automation:
Expert-level PowerShell scripting skills, including creating complex modules and leveraging DSC (Desired State Configuration).
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
Familiarity with Python or Bash scripting for cross-platform automation.
5. Database and Application Support:
Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server, including high availability configurations, Always On Availability Groups, and performance tuning.
Experience with database backup strategies, including point-in-time recovery and log shipping.
Understanding of application delivery and load balancing concepts.
6. Monitoring and Management:
Proficiency with enterprise monitoring solutions such as SCOM, Nagios, or Zabbix.
Experience implementing and managing SIEM solutions for security event monitoring and compliance reporting.
Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL v4) and experience with ITSM tools.
7. Project Management and Business Acumen:
Proven experience in leading complex IT projects from conception to completion.
Ability to create detailed project plans, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
8. Advanced Troubleshooting Skills:
Expertise in using advanced troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, Process Monitor, and Windows Performance Toolkit.
Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex, multi-tiered application environments.
