SUMMARYThe Project Controller is responsible for supporting the financial aspects of projects. This includes developing and monitoring project schedules and budgets, tracking scope changes, and providing transparency on project performance. The Project Controller will prepare cost and schedule reports, ensure accurate forecasts, and support the project team in identifying cost savings and risks. The project controller interfaces with all aspects of the organization to ensure comprehensive project oversight and alignment.

IN THIS ROLE, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL
  • Develop, update, and monitor project work breakdown structures, schedules, and budgets
  • Track and communicate changes in project scope, costs, and schedules
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure budget transparency
  • Prepare and maintain project cost, schedule, and risk analysis reports
  • Develop and analyze performance metrics to track project progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Support the development and implementation of project financial risk mitigation strategies
  • Support the project team in identifying cost savings and risks
  • Manage project invoices and ensure timely collection
  • Adhere to accounting guidelines and relevant regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and/or experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting analysis, preferably with project-based experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Project Controllers typically work in an office setting, collaborating closely with project managers and other team members. They may occasionally visit project sites (travel less than 5%) to monitor progress and ensure alignment with financial goals.
