Salary: $85,000 minimum (GASA Contract)
Location: District Office
Hours: Administrators and Supervisors are expected to devote the necessary time and effort required to properly complete their assigned responsibilities. It is understood that such time and effort may exceed the limits of normal working hours.

Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid New York State administrative certificate (SDA/SBL) or be eligible for the same
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to deal with people at all organization levels; administrative, analytical, leadership, organizational, planning, problem solving, and oral written communication skills; and an aptitude for directing and motivating people are required
  • Experience leading curriculum work, knowledge of graduation requirements, and college and career planning
  • Demonstrate capacity to use data analysis to guide decision-making to promote school improvement
  • Understanding of mental health teams and role development
  • Understanding and experience leading Multi-Tiered Systems of Support

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in K-12 education
  • Experience with Panorama, SWIS, Leader In Me, perception surveys, Maia Learning
  • Experience supporting grants and McKinney Vento
  • Understanding of MTSS and Restorative Practice development and supports including behavior, attendance, and mental health
  • Experience with facilitation of SEL and relevant committees
  • Experience leading Erin's Law curriculum requirements and resources
  • Knowledge of Substance Abuse Prevention and Suicide Prevention
  • Training in Trauma, Illness, and Grief, or willingness to be trained

Description:
  • Support mental health systems and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance and support curriculum for Erin's Law (Child Safety Matter, Teen Safety Matters)
  • Continue role delineation work for Mental Health team
  • Lead curriculum development for Metnal Health teams
  • Lead District Counseling Department Meetings
  • Coordinate mentor opportunities and onboarding of new Mental Health staff
  • Coordination of Metnal Health Internships
  • Coordinate CTE as it relates to the role of counselors
  • Ensure compliance with NYS Career Plans
  • Interface with other Department of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment staff
  • Coordinate Trauma, Illness & Grief responses, and interface with the Director of School Safety and Security to ensure alignment between TIG and Threat Assessment.

  • Support Community Partnerships
  • Support policy development
