Job Description:

The Senior Quant Developer performs highly advanced (senior-level) python programming to support our quantitative equity strategies team. Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgement.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of solid Python programming skills to cleanse, manipulate, and present data, particularly using quantitative data analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, etc.
3+ years of financial industry experience in a report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology
6+ years of full-time experience developing and maintaining enterprise scale applications
Experience deploying and supporting Python apps to both Windows and Linux environments
Knowledge of TSQL to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data
Experience managing projects and developing applications using the Agile SCRUM methodology
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
Ability and willingness to refactor code produced by others and make production-ready
Intellectual curiosity and passion about data, visualization and solving problems
Creativity to determine the best solution for a real-world problem with quantitative data
Experience with reporting, descriptive statistics, probability, and cleaning big datasets
Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data and assumptions
Enjoyment from collaborating with others in team environment
Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Drive and self-reliance
Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, computer science, or equivalent technical field from an accredited college or university
