Position Overview:
The Assistant Clinical Director will support the Clinical Director in overseeing the daily operations of The Counseling Center and ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services. This role involves assisting in the supervision of clinical staff, contributing to program development, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards. The Assistant Clinical Director will collaborate closely with the Clinical Director and the Senior Director of Healthcare Operations to enhance service delivery, improve client outcomes, and support workforce development.

A salary within the range of $78,200 - $105,800 will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the Making Opportunity Count compensation philosophy. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clinical Supervision & Support:
- Assist the Clinical Director in providing supervision, guidance, and mentorship to clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, social workers, and case managers.
- Oversee clinical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular case reviews and provide feedback to clinical staff to ensure effective treatment plans and best practices are followed.
- Program Development & Quality Improvement:
- Support the Clinical Director in identifying community needs and assist in developing new behavioral health programs and services.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, including clinical audits, client satisfaction surveys, and performance metrics.
- Assist in the implementation of evidence-based practices and ensure adherence to trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care models.
- Collaboration & Team Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff and leadership, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on clinic goals.
- Work closely with the Clinical Director and Senior Director of Healthcare Operations to ensure clinical programs align with operational priorities.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations to promote integrated care approaches.
- Staff Training & Development:
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of clinical staff.
- Coordinate staff training on topics such as trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and bias reduction, in collaboration with the Clinical Director.
- Help identify opportunities for continuing education and professional growth for clinical staff.
- Client Care & Crisis Management:
- Support clinical teams in managing complex cases, including client crises, mental health emergencies, and critical incidents.
- Provide direct clinical care as needed, including assessments, crisis intervention, and therapy services.
- Assist in monitoring client outcomes and ensuring client needs are met in a timely manner.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist the Clinical Director with preparing reports, updating policies, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Help manage schedules, clinical workflows, and staffing needs to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director on budgetary and resource allocation decisions in line with clinical needs.

- Strong understanding of evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and integrated care models.

- Experience in program development, quality improvement, and clinical supervision.

Supervisory Responsibilities/ Key Relationships:
- Collaborates closely with their clinical supervisors and members of Leadership including the Chief Program Officer.
- Supervises a team of clinical professionals and provides limited supervision to interns.
Required Education and Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field (PhD, PsyD, or LCSW preferred).
- Licensed to practice as a clinical professional (e.g., LMHC, LCSW, LPC, etc.) in MA.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.

- This is a hybrid position with an expectation of at least three days per week in the office located in Fitchburg, MA.
- Hours of work are flexible but must be available during normal business hours.
- Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
