Description:
Graduate from an approved school of nursing. Current licensure by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing , BSN required. Three to five years of management or supervisory experience desired. Must be able to apply principles of unit management, personnel supervision, teaching and budget.
Manages all staff assigned to the unit. Ensures the delivery of quality patient care to a defined group of patients for the following age groups: geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonate; maintains staffing at an appropriate level; assures adequate skills and abilities to meet patient problems, maintains financial control; collaborates and maintains open communication with medical staff, unit personnel and other ancillary departments. Monitors appropriate utilization of resources in the provision of care; assures regulations/standards are met. The Clinical Manager will ensure all departmental staff will be informed of policies and procedures and establish and maintain an environment of compliance.
This position is designated as a safety sensitive position. The essential duties of the job require the employee to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner. A lapse in attention to detail may constitute a threat to health or safety resulting in injury, illness, or death.
