Description:
1. 3+ years of AWS application Architecture experience with several successful migrations
2. Experience implementing a CI/CD pipeline
3. 2 + years of experience in container based solutions, and its orchestration with Mesos/Marathorn, Kubernetes or Docker SWARM and Docker datacenter components
4. 2+ years of experience with orchestration and automation technologies such as Chef or Puppet
Must have In-depth technical skills in Cloud infrastructure design, compute, storage and networking implementation, particularly using Amazon Web Services
Primary Purpose
Participate in application migration initiatives and recommend best fit cloud strategy, assisting first-time engineers and implementers of any cloud-based technology stack
Partner with infrastructure operations, platform optimization, and datacenter operation teams to scope, define, size and execute application onboarding, migration & consolidation initiatives
Collaborate with other architects both at the division and the enterprise level to implement an effective CI/CD pipeline and assist in assembling a cohesive toolchain for the division's DevOps initiative
Work with in-house cloud security experts to implement a security framework that satisfies ISO standards for implementing cloud solutions in public clouds
Contribute to the refinement/execution of a Cloud Migration framework which can be consumed by various Application teams
Identify and operationalize optimal container management and orchestration solutions to fit RSD's workloads
Perform service delivery platform benchmarks and implement a dynamic capacity monitoring and allocation solution for PaaS to support capacity planning and forecasting
Success Criteria
3+ years of experience in architecture, design and implementation of On-Prem, Off-Prem and Hybrid Cloud solutions utilizing VMWare, AWS, Azure or GCP
Hands on engineer with 3+ years of experience conducting proof-of-concept, developing prototypes and reference models with infrastructure as code
2 + years of experience in container based solutions, and its orchestration with Mesos/Marathorn, Kubernetes or Docker SWARM and Docker datacenter components
2+ years of experience with orchestration and automation technologies such as Chef or Puppet
In-depth technical skills in Cloud infrastructure design, compute, storage and networking implementation, particularly using Amazon Web Services
In-depth knowledge of Cloud engineering design principles, API management platforms such as Mulesoft, SOAP/XML and RESTful API development, and integration patterns for cloud-ready applications
Experience with PaaS solutions utilizing CloudFoundry (Pivotal CF, Bluemix, Helion or similar) or OpenShift
Demonstrable experience implementing a CI/CD pipeline
Comfortable with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira and Jenkins
Familiarity with datacenter concepts and best practices, high-availability systems, capacity planning, system performance evaluation, diagnostic techniques and methodologies.
Experience with designing and architecting serverless computing and implementation using AWS Lambda is a plus
Strong communication skills in order to effectively communicate with and make strategic recommendations to Sr. and Executive Mgmt as well as all levels of internal/external service partners
