Job Description:
MarkLogic has been implemented, there is currently one application in production, it is the hot new technology and application teams want their applications to run on it, they are looking for new applications in development to run on them, and convert existing applications
This role is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining NoSQL (MarkLogic) based technology and infrastructures Projects in support of high volume, complex data transactions for specific services or groups of services.
The role will interact with Engineering R&D, Application Architects, DB System Engineers, DB Operations and Project Managers in a virtual team and focus on designing, building, deploying, and maintaining high availability, robust, resilient and supportable database solutions to support large volumes of data transactions.
Work on projects involving NoSQL databases in development/QA/production environments including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, replication, upgrades.
Perform database health monitoring and diagnostics.
Have a strong focus on security and security enhancements (encryption, masking etc)
Integrate monitoring, auditing, and alert systems for databases with existing monitoring infrastructure.
Design, implement, maintain, and automate the appropriate backup and recovery architecture as required.

- Excellent communication skills are required. Must be able to communicate effectively at different levels (i.e., with technical and non-technical employees, managers, and vendors).
- Familiarity with ETL processes and operations
- Experience with XML and related technologies (XSLT and/or XQuery) a plus
- Strong problem solving, testing, and network troubleshooting skills
