Core Responsibilities
- Collaborates with project partners to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
- Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development and customizes current applications. Assists with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases.
- Researches, writes and edits documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports.
- Monitors and evaluates driven applications and products. Reviews literature, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
- Works with Quality Assurance team to resolve if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
- Displays in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
- Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Job Description:
- 10+ years working in front-end web development
- Extensive programming experience in HTML5, CSS3, SASS or LESS
- Excellent JavaScript knowledge and programming experience with ES5/ES6
- Proven understanding and development experience in React
- Experience with Typescript, NodeJS, NPM
- Experience with module bundlers such as Webpack
- Experience consuming and developing RESTful Web Services
- Experience writing unit tests (Jest, Jasmine, Karma or Chai)
- Experience with client-side architecture and design patterns
- Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations Solid understanding and extensive experience with Git version control
- Experienced with the Agile/Scrum development model using Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Rally).
- Team player. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with team members.
- B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, etc. or equivalent work experience.
