In this role, you will be expected to:
- Understand the scope of technical programs as defined by the product and business requirements and the budget process. Participate in the key planning of program milestones.
- Develop program plans and program records to include upstream and downstream dependencies. Work with the core team to identify and schedule all the work required to fulfill program scope, including identification and management of critical path tasks.
- Identify, confirm and obtain commitment from required cross-functional teams. Partner with other team members and initiatives effectively.
- Facilitate the development of key goals, objectives and success criteria for the program.
- Analyze and identify areas of risk; establish contingency plans and assume responsibility for initiation of corrective actions.
- Work with leadership and core team members to help identify and assist in making program tradeoffs to include scope, time and costs while developing resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity and problem solving. Ensure proper documentation of decisions and tradeoffs.
- Communicate updates on major achievements and keeps all partners informed of progress and issues.
What you can expect:
- You will function as a Program Delivery Lead for multiple, large scale and /or complex programs as assigned, to include development & test phases, facilitation of trials and deployment planning, and development of communication plans.
- You will provide program management leadership and expertise. You will be the source of truth for information about your program ensuring all parties are aligned on objectives and definition of success.
- You will become a subject matter expert, understanding the details of what we are delivering, not just the dates and milestones. Program leads in our organization become the "go-to person" and truly own every aspect of their programs.
- You will manage the program and team through the deliverables associated with the program by establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to plans and schedules by holding leads accountable as appropriate.
- You will identify project risks and mitigation plans as appropriate and drive mitigations.
- You will communicate and partner with key stakeholders including development teams, operations, product, etc. as required.
- You will provide regular program status updates to the leadership team (Dir, VP, SVP, EVP).
- You will have the opportunity to learn, collaborate with other Program Managers, Product Managers, Engineers, and Senior Leadership, and work in Cloud - a thriving area of "tech"!
What you need to succeed (these should be our role minimum requirements)
- This role requires a Bachelor's degree + 7-10 years experience or equivalent years experience.
- An engineering degree is not required, but you must have strong technical aptitude, passion for technology and innovation, and ability to communicate with technical teams.
- We love people who are intellectually curious, utilize data to make decisions, innovate, elevate the performance of those around them, win as a team, and can express themselves thoughtfully.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to drive data-driven decisions.
- Comfort working in an ambiguous environment, and the ability to build a program from scratch - setting your own plans, targets, objectives, and measurements.
