Meet Benevity

The world's coolest companies (and their employees) use Benevity's technology to take social action on the issues they care about. Through giving, volunteering, grantmaking, employee resource groups and micro-actions, we help most of the Fortune 100 brands build better cultures and use their power for good. We're also one of the first B Corporations in Canada, meaning we're as committed to purpose as we are to profits. We have people working all over the world, including Canada, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, the United States and more!

We are looking for a talented, passionate, dynamic, results-oriented nonprofit relations leader to help build, nurture and support a strong nonprofit community. As the Director, Nonprofit Relations, you will lead our nonprofit engagement strategy and support to bring value to our clients and nonprofits globally. You'll partner cross-functionally to advocate for nonprofits and their experience with Benevity, bringing their perspective and voice to strategic and operational issues. Managing a team of leaders, you'll own services and support, and develop strategies to drive revenue and impact, while optimizing for efficiency.

With nonprofits at the center of impact, as Benevity further strengthens its leadership in the impact and inclusion space, this is an incredibly exciting time to lead the charge on building an engaged community of nonprofits that power purpose and make our world better.

What you'll do:
  • Lead a team of people leaders to build a high-performing culture of excellence, excitement and focus
  • Build & adapt frameworks for team development aligned with company and individual development goals
  • Own & define nonprofit relations strategy and journey, including engagement, partnership-building, marketing and support to drive business value and impact
  • Partner and influence cross-functional priorities to effectively advocate for and drive change to better serve nonprofit needs and experience
  • Own nonprofit-related offers to drive revenue, including offer definitions, monitoring, operations and resourcing (including working with 3rd parties)

What you'll bring:
  • 5-7+ years relevant leadership experience, such as general management, partnerships, sales & marketing, client-facing teams or multidisciplinary teams, including leading people managers at a global level
  • Deep understanding of nonprofit landscape and needs, ideally experiencing working with corporates, giving/volunteering platforms. If no direct nonprofit experience, experience developing long-lasting mutually beneficial partnerships with nonprofits.
  • Exceptional visual, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to frame, position, and influence effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box
  • People-centered leadership style with the ability to build and inspire a high-performing team
  • Success in leading large-scale, company-wide change initiatives in partnership with executives and senior leadership, with a track record of gaining alignment on key decisions
  • Strong project management skills, including managing project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Proven track record of creating innovative, collaborative, and measurable business solutions
