Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a Controller II to join our team in our Carlisle, PA HQ.

Job Summary:

This position will provide accounting and analytical support for the Carlisle Coatings and Waterproofing (CCW) business unit. Primary responsibilities include a comprehensive analysis of manufacturing operations, variances, expenditure impacts, and partnering with management in driving continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Complete and present a monthly financial analysis package detailing financial results, variance explanations, trends, and forward-looking observations that will impact future months.
  • Prepare cost-related reports, variance, and manufacturing expense reports.
  • Partner with Plant management in driving improvement projects, including verifying cost savings estimates.
  • Proactive variance analysis, reporting to plant management, and a continuous review/update of standard product costs.
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with Sales and Production teams.
  • Work with operations in justification of capital expenditure requests.
  • Prepare journal entries for month-end closing and account reconciliation documentation as required.
  • Assist in the monthly forecast and annual operating plan.
  • Work with the internal audit in support of quarterly and year-end reporting.

Working Conditions:
  • Office environment
  • Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
  • Weekends for annual physical inventories and travel

Travel Requirement:
  • Up to 20% travel is required for this position depending upon annual physical inventory and needs of the business unit

Education and Experience:
  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting with strong financial accounting knowledge
    • Minimum of 3-5 years working in a manufacturing/cost accounting environment
    • Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
    • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office products
  • Preferred:
    • CPA or CMA is desirable.
