The firm is currently hiring a highly motivated Litigation Associates (Full Time, Contract) with guaranteed base salary, plus a guaranteed commission after achieving performance goals. We are especially interested in candidates with exceptional organizational, analytical and communication skills, willingness to learn, a passion for litigation, and an unwavering commitment to client service.
Qualifications:
JD from ABA accredited law school
Admitted to practice and in good standing in the State of Texas
3+ years litigation experience
Working knowledge of state and federal rules of civil procedure and evidence
Experience handling written discovery, motions, hearings and depositions
Strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment
Responsibilities:
Drafting pleadings
Conducting discovery, including depositions (fact and expert)
Legal research and briefing
Handle client meeting, court hearings, mediations and trials (First chair experience not required but desirable)
Manage dedicated staff and docket of diverse civil litigation cases with an emphasis on employment law matters
Ability to handle complex litigation matters beginning to end
