In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the successful planning and execution of electrical projects.
    Salary Range: $163,000 - $173,000
    Location: Onsite (Los Angeles, CA)

    Position: Senior Project Development Manager AE
    Duties:
    9.1 Assists the Director of Architecture and Engineering in the development of project scope and
    coordination of architectural planning, design, funding, and development of school facilities.
    9.2 Plans and coordinates the execution of pre-construction activities associated with multiple
    school alteration and maintenance projects.
    9.3 Provides functional direction over pre-construction project schedules, cost control, dispute
    resolution, and quality control for multiple projects and programs.
    9.4 Reviews pre-construction project status to monitor schedule and budget variances relative to
    submitted schedules.
    9.5 Assists in coordinating the pre-construction program activities and related work of those in
    other District branches and departments such as the Office of Environmental Health and Safety; Real
    Estate; Community Outreach; School Management Services/Master Planning and Demographics; Asset
    Management; Project Execution; Facilities Contracts; and Procurement
    9.6 Resolves pre-construction project issues by resolving differences of opinion, conflicts in
    schedules, and disagreements over the most efficient approach to the plan and design of new
    schools.
    9.7 Reviews, recommends, and implements program and project level policy and procedural
    innovations.
    9.8 Coordinates with representatives from various government agencies to obtain timely action on
    successive phases of project completion.
    9.9 Assesses bid specifications for District need and probability of completion within the
    specified timeline.
    9.10 Makes presentations to Board Members, District administrators, and representatives of public
    agencies.
    9.11 Reviews and verifies submitted applications for payment and performs overall fiscal management
    of multiple design and construction projects.
    9.12 Responsible for overseeing staff assignments and workload, supervises staff activities and
    evaluates performance.
    9.13 Plans, directs, reviews and participates in trainings for staff.
    9.14 Performs other duties as assigned
    Minimum Requirements Required Experience:
    10.1 Fifteen (15) years of full-time paid-professional experience managing the facilities design,
    or the planning and coordination of capital projects that includes the overall design, contract
    administration, cost estimating, and scheduling activities.
    10.2 Five (5) years of experience with educational facilities, design, planning and construction.
    Additional Preferred Experience:
    10.3 Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
    10.4 Experience with LEED and/or Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) projects
    10.5 Experience with the Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes
    10.6 Experience with construction management
    Required Education:
    10.7 Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in architecture,
    engineering or construction management.
    10.8 Additional courses in Business Administration, Public Relations, Accounting, School Finance,
    Personnel Management, Educational Facilities Planning, and Communication are preferred.
    Required Licenses and Certificates:
    10.9 A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California State Architectural
    Board
    Preferred Licenses and Certificates:
    10.10 LEED Professional Accreditation
