IT Application Software Architect

Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager IT Applications Software Architect. The IT Applications Software Architect will lead design activities across multiple business functions, applications and systems. Under limited supervision, you will act as a subject matter expert in the installation, design, configuration or specialized testing of applications to support business strategies. Location: Plymouth, MN - Hybrid

What you will do:

• Expert in implementation of new designs and processes for enterprise-level IT applications, within a global business
• Uses professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve extremely complex problems in creative and effective ways
• Advises and regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers
• Leads development or defines new theories and methods
• Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables
• Exercises independent judgment in developing and approving methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Contributes technical guidance to the development of applications to support business strategies
• Oversees and approves application and system documentation used in design, testing or programming efforts
• Recommends new technologies and leads the development of new IT standards and processes based on industry standards and best practices
• Provides mentoring for other team members

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• 10+ years of IT application solution experience with high-level problem solving and technical project management or equivalent combination of education and 8+ years' experience required
• Experience managing and successfully implementing complex application solutions producing highly reliable, high volume application infrastructures with high quality documentation for the support of such systems
• Capability to recommend and lead implementation of new designs and processes for enterprise-level IT applications, within a global business
• Experience with communicating IT vision and strategy to IT and Business Leaders
• Broad experience with emerging industry and IT trends
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
