In addition, manage an individual pipeline daily by completing new underwriting reviews, condition reviews and other underwriting tasks within established turn times.
As a Manager, Mortgage Operations your duties will be:
- Ensure all files are underwritten to investor standards, managing the entire loan operation process.
- Ensure that employees have the necessary tools, materials, and training to successfully perform in their positions. Assigns work and reviews, observes and/or audits work to assess department and employee performance. Coaches' employees on a regular basis to ensure they clearly understand the performance standards for their position, and understand whether they are meeting these standards. Take all appropriate actions to ensure performance expectations are met or exceeded.
- Ensure employees remain in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations. Ensure that staff adheres to all Mortgage Forward and department guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Ensures procedures and guidelines are accurate and compliant.
- Maintain and demonstrate proficiency with loan software applications and remains current with our Lender/Investor programs and maintains their forms for submission.
- Reviews signed loan closing documents for completion and quality per guidelines.
- Manage external partner relationships to assist with underwriting, processing, and closing.
- Complete FHLMC, MetaSource, and investor audit requests, by providing and uploading documentation.
- Manages pipeline to meet estimated closing dates by ensuring underwriting, processing closing and servicing are completed timely.
- Escalation of systemic issues, risks or potential losses to direct supervisor.
- Lead coordination of efforts for changes by researching and recommending new opportunities.
- Assess departmental operations to identify potential improvements and implement change.
- Resolves escalated client issues, when necessary.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations, and following all Mortgage Forward's policies, procedures and internal controls.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements needed to be part of this team:
- A bachelor's degree or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree
- Three to five years of similar or related experience
- Knowledge and Use of Encompass Software: Familiarity with Encompass software is preferred.
