License and Certification Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

Education Qualifications: Master's degree in related field required. Doctorate degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Five years of extensive experience in grants management, including successful acquisition, administration, and compliance, preferably in a large educational or nonprofit organization.?

Skills Qualifications: Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex educational concepts; demonstrated leadership experience, including team management and collaboration in an educational setting; familiarity with the educational landscape and funding sources for large school districts.?

Primary Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Chief Accountability Officer the Executive Director of Competitive Grants will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the grants process for the district from application through award.

1. Strategic Planning:
a. Develop and implement a comprehensive grants strategy aligned with the educational goals and priorities of the school district.
b. Establish and lead the Competitive Grants Department, designing and implementing efficient processes for successful grant acquisition, administration, and compliance.

2. Grant Program Development:
a. Collaborate with district leadership to identify funding opportunities that enhance educational programs and initiatives.
b. Research and identify diverse funding sources, including government grants, foundations, and corporate partnerships.

3. Proposal Development and Management:
a. Oversee the development of high-quality grant proposals, ensuring alignment with district priorities and the demonstration of positive educational outcomes.
b. Collaborate with district departments to gather necessary information and insights for proposal submissions.

4. Relationship Building:
a. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential funders, foundations, and community partners.
b. Represent the school district at relevant events to enhance visibility and establish strategic partnerships.

5. Grant Compliance and Reporting:
a. Ensure strict adherence to grant compliance requirements, regulations, and reporting deadlines.
b. Collaborate with finance and program teams to track and report on the utilization of grant funds and educational impact.

6. Team Leadership:
a. Build and lead a high-performing Grants Office team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
b. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the Grants Office.

7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
