Did we just describe you? Western State Hospital (WSH) within theBehavioral Health Administration(BHA) is seeking a Physician Supervisor to join the primary care team in Lakewood Pierce County, Washington.
Thisdynamicjob leads a group of primary care providers caring for patients with psychiatric conditions and medical challenges. By collaborating closely with multiple disciplines, you will have aninfluentialvoice in addressing the physical and medical needs of the people we serve. You will guide the medical assessment and treatmentof patientswith a dedicated team that adopts aholisticapproach to care. Its less about prescribing medication and more about understanding the root causes of issues and promoting overall well-being.

Compensation and benefits
- Offers a competitive salary along with 1.25 times regular pay when covering additional workloads, additional monthly pay for board certification, an excellent benefits package, and annual funding for continuing medical education. Relocation assistance available!
- There is a 5% (approximately $15,000) premium pay.
- $10,000 for Board Certification.
- $5,000 annual allowance for CME courses.
- Employee legal representation and/or indemnification.
- Tuition reimbursement up to $25,000 for qualifying employees.

How You Will Make a Difference
- Directs, coordinatesand supervises the overall medical care of patients at WSH.
- Acts as medical consultant and medical back-up hospital-wide.
- Supervises and advises Physician-3s and Medical ARNPs.
- Coordinates the review of Clinical Risk Management Team reports.
- Reviews and investigates patient complaints pertaining to medical care.
- Establishes and reviews policies and procedures regarding medical care throughout the Hospital.
What We Want in Our New Physician
Knowledge
Valid license to practice medicine and surgery in Washington and certification by American Board of Family Practice, NPBAS or Internal Medicine.
CPR certification is required.
