Job Description
Role: Accounting Manager
Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000
Location: Niles, IL
Work Schedule: On-Site

As an Accounting Manager, you will responsible for:

• Directing monthly closing activities including excel-based reports and management reporting packages.
• Maintaining fixed asset log with depreciation and lapsing schedules for both book and tax.
• Preparing, examining, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Analyzing business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
• Performing GL account analysis.
• Evaluating company's overall operations from a financial and accounting viewpoint.
• Evaluating the financial statements and reports for accuracy, identifying problem areas, and suggesting methods of correction.
• Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts for the company.
• Supporting the AR invoicing and credit function.
• Monitoring and reporting daily cash flow.
• Assisting with the day-to-day management of the Accounting Department. Providing staff with support and guidance in meeting departmental goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Supervisory experience is preferred
• 5+ years' strong accounting experience with an emphasis on a manufacturing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Cost accounting or job costing experience is preferred
