The Tulane University School of Architecture (TuSA) is seeking qualified candidates within the discipline of Architecture to fill two (2) positions, one at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Tenure-Track/ Tenured) and the other at the rank of Professor of Practice. All eligible applicants are encouraged to apply. In addition to demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and creative practice, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Qualifications
Successful candidates must have a terminal degree in architecture (Master of Architecture) or an equivalent graduate professional degree, doctorate, or a Ph.D. in architecture or related fields. Professional licensure in the United States (or an international equivalent) is desirable. Candidates should exhibit proficiency in their area of expertise and demonstrated commitment to rigorous design research and innovative curriculum development. Faculty members at Tulane School of Architecture are expected to teach; work with faculty colleagues, the dean, and other departments at Tulane to develop curriculum; contribute to cross-disciplinary research initiatives; and engage in service through a range of academic committees. Candidates are expected to pursue a clear agenda of design research, writing, and creative production. Candidates for this position should be ready to teach undergraduate and graduate level design studios and coursework within their area of expertise.
