Position Summary

The Project Manager II will focus on management of a collection of projects or programs in alignment with business objectives. The Project Manager II will work directly with the Director of Execution to drive the project lifecycle through strategic planning, timeline management, and resource management across departments and functions. Additionally, the Project Manager II will develop and maintain high-level relationships with clients, coworkers, and stakeholders and ensure strategic alignment of project goals with client expectations and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members throughout the entire project lifecycle through strategic planning, timeline management, and resource management to support projects that are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This includes support of project schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
  • Participate in brainstorming for new projects, development of project charters, and coordination of project timelines across all projects and teams.
  • Provide insight on project management methodologies/best practices that drive innovation in project management processes and tools.
  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret trends in order to become a source of insight with the ability to support complex cross-functional projects, problem solving, and innovation.
  • Proactively manage delivery of involved departments.
  • Prioritize, delegate, and assign tasks as required.
  • Display excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation abilities, essential for working with customers, coworker, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships with clients, coworkers, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain strategic alignment of project goals with client expectations and company objectives, addressing high priority concerns and managing internal/external communications.
  • Provide clear visibility of project status to internal and external stakeholders and escalate issues and delays in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate responses to questions/challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle
  • Responsible for screening and interviewing when required
  • Performs other duties, as assigned

Experience Requirements

  • 7 or more years of Pharmaceutical Industry Experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to balance important and competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Good understanding of Pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing processes, and cGMP practices
  • Highly organized and possess proven critical thinking skills
  • Possess effective communication skills, acute attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to self-initiate
  • Familiarity with software tools for such as Microsoft Project, Procore, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Smart-Sheet, One-Note

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life-Sciences, Engineering, or Project Management)
