Business Development Manager - Electrical

IES Commercial, Inc. is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager in Nebraska, with flexible working location in Norfolk, Lincoln, Grand Island, Omaha, or Kearney NE.

Job Summary

• Identifies and pursues new business opportunities, including sourcing and qualifying potential projects for large commercial and industrial electrical contracts.
• Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with current and prospective customers to drive business growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintains close working relationship with senior leadership team
• Provides oversight and assistance as needed for team of experienced estimators
• Applies estimating best practices and procedures.
• Conducts job site visits as necessary.
• Qualifies quotes for special materials and sub-contracts.
• Prepares proposal letters, bid forms and turnover packages on awarded projects.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Travels as required.

Qualifications

• College degree in a related field with 1 year of relevant experience or 3 years of recent electrical industry business development experience.
• Commercial and industrial electrical estimating experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of blueprints, specifications, codes and regulations.
• Proficient computer skills and exposure to MS Office and Accubid or Estimation Logistics.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles, and drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check when applicable per customer contract requirement.
